No Alpacas that we source our materials from are killed for their fur. There is a prohibition in effect against killing alpacas for their hides: it is illegal, impractical, and immoral to do so. Our producers only use humanely acquired Alpaca hides to make our creations, sourced as a by-product. In Peru, Alpaca is a culinary delicacy, therefore their hides, like cow hides, are a by-product of the demand for alpaca meat. Alpacas are farmed and raised in a manner that encourages long life spans and are sheared annually. The longer they live, the more wool can be shorn from them. The majority of alpacas have died of natural causes, due to the rough living conditions and high altitude of the South American Andean Mountains. It would not be practical or ethical to kill Alpacas simply for their hides. The Alpaca industry is a very well regulated and animal friendly industry. Our producers use the hides of humanely acquired Alpaca fur to make our fur creations. Alpaca Plush closely follows all the laws that prohibit and regulate any mistreatment of alpacas.

For international orders, we cannot insure shipments for their value. Once we ship from The United States, The shipment is the responsibility of the client. We ship all over the World and rarely have issues with shipping. As a standard, we only ship to the billing address of the paying credit card. A written request can be considered for an alternative delivery address. We require a daytime and evening phone number, should we need to verify any information. Custom Orders
We can accommodate most any custom size, shape, or design request. We specialize in large fur area rugs and custom sized pieces. We have produced as large as 24' x 24' custom area rugs. Custom-made products will require ten to fourteen weeks, depending on the order, the lead-time and delivery.
Returns Policy
Slight imperfections and differences in color and shade are part of the unique natural style of Alpaca fur. Each Alpaca fur product has a unique appearance, both in terms of color variation and physical qualities of the alpaca fur. Small differences in color shade and fiber length can occur, as only natural materials have been used. Alpaca fur can shed some wool in the beginning as a natural process. Please keep in mind that due to the nature of the fiber, all our items are unique and may vary slightly in appearance. These natural imperfections, color shade and shedding are not acceptable reasons for return. Fur rug colors can change color due to excessive exposure to the sun especially in dyed colors. Sun bleaching is not an acceptable reason for return as well. We are one of the oldest companies in our industry and the very best at producing luxury furs. We make every effort to ensure that colors are as close as possible to our color palette samples, there may be slight variations in color due to the color settings of your monitor or mobile device. Most of our products are natural colors and made of all natural materials. These natural colors cannot be exactly duplicated every time, but will be within a shade of the color palette example. Returns are limited to defective merchandise or a mistake made on our end. You have seven days to contact us after receiving your order regarding an issue. In the event of a return being approved, we will make a refund as soon as possible or within 30 days of your revocation. Wholesale items, In stock items, and sale items are sold as is. We do not assume responsibility for return shipping costs unless return is a result of quality issue or delivery error from our end. Any items returned to us must be unused and in their original packaging. Do not remove any tags or labels and keep original packaging until you decide to keep the item. Any item made to order is a custom order. No returns will be accepted on custom order products.
